Sun Microsystems invites you to join the vibrant open source community and put your Java skills to good use at the Java Jive Regional Challenge 2008! The Java Jive Regional Challenge 2008 - Keeping IT Real! provides participants with a platform to identify, develop and apply IT in a real world scenario. The objective of this challenge is to drive students’ passion for innovation using Java Technology, Solaris Operating System and NetBeans. A unique feature of this year’s challenge is the opportunity to work with mentors from the healthcare industry, where participants are offered an experiential and hands-on approach as they develop and deploy Web 2.0 solutions that can possibly be the next big thing in the healthcare industry.
This year, Sun and IDA, co-organisers of the Java Jive Regional Challenge 2008 will bring the challenge across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand through the ITE-Sun Centre of Technology Collaboration. Not only will you get to compete against your peers in your country, you could go on to face country champions in the region and become the first-ever Java Jive Regional Champion!
